The Pellston Farmers Market - Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6pm
in the parking lot of Northern Dental Group on US31, 421 Stimpson, Pellston, MI

The existence of this market supports the eligibility of the Pellston school lunch program in the Hoop Houses for Health program and 10 cents a meal. Both programs provide funding for the purchase of fresh local fruits and vegetables for the school’s breakfast and lunch program. Last year, Sherry Sedore, the new food service director, added local apples (from Cheboygan), potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, green beans, black beans, lettuce, spinach, parsnips, and more to the lunch offerings and the kids LOVED IT!

Loon Chick Photo from North Fishtail Bay - 6/24/2018 - 11am
It’s loon nesting season and chicks are beginning to appear on the lake.
Please keep some things in mind.
  • If disturbed often, loons abandon the nest.
  • When watercraft come close, parents leave their chicks to defend their territory.
  • Chicks tire easily. Getting close to them can weaken them, affecting their ability to survive.
Enjoy loons from a distance.
