IMPORTANT MESSAGE – PLEASE READ
DLIA Executive Board Seeks Membership Review of Proposed Changes to Articles of Incorporation and 2016 Bylaws

            Shortly before the 2018 Annual Meeting, the DLIA Officers initiated a review of the status of the Association.  We sought the assistance of Gail Gruenwald, Executive Director of the Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council, requesting that she review our Articles of Incorporation (1967), 2016 Bylaws, and recent financial reports.   The Executive Board was briefed on Gail’s analysis and recommendations. The significant points of her assessment are described in the cover letter to the Membership posted on the DLIA web site, link below. We are now bringing to the DLIA membership drafts of proposed changes to both the 2016 Bylaws and the 1967 Articles of Incorporation for your review and comment.  Please review these three documents at the web links below.   Comments/questions can be made by email to info@douglaslake.org or to your Zone Representative.  Please submit your comments or share your questions/concerns with your Zone Representative no later than July 12^th. The Executive Board will meet in mid-July to consider the Memberships’ comments and address concerns. 
A final version of proposed changes to the Articles and Bylaws, as approved by the Executive Board, will be provided to the membership prior to a vote to approve, in accordance with the advance notice requirements of the DLIA Bylaws.
