DTE Energy Natural Gas Service

DTE Energy was recently granted a franchise to provide natural gas service in Munro Township.  This franchise request was approved by the Munro Township Board on April 11, 2017.  This means that DTE can now provide natural gas service to those areas of the Township which it determines feasible.  The first step was securing the franchise and the next step is to determine its feasibility. 

As part of the feasibility determination, DTE will make a presentation May 9^th at 7:30pm in the Township Hall on Brandau Road.  This meeting is open to the public and DTE representative will answer questions about the feasibility process.  Any Munro Township resident interested in receiving natural gas service is welcome to attend. 

A similar process was used to provide natural gas to customers on Burt Lake along West Burt Lake Road.  DTE is in the process of looking to expand their natural gas service along East Burt Lake Road.

Munro Township Residential Trash Pickup – Sat May 27, 2017
from 7:00 am until finished

Please have your trash ready at the end of your driveway near the road.
One pickup per household.

Items Allowed: Household junk, bagged garbage, bundled building materials, furniture, scrap metal, appliances without Freon and dry cut carpet. Lumber must be cut in 3-foot lengths.

Items Not Allowed: Brush, leaves and grass clippings, oil, liquid paint, flammable materials, chemicals, explosives, tires, batteries, cement, appliances with Freon and hazardous waste materials.
