Douglas Lake Merchandise Online Store Opening November 1st

DLIA is excited to offer a holiday online store again this year for great Douglas Lake merchandise. Please keep in mind, there will not be any re-orders of merchandise; so, if you see something you want, get it before it’s gone!
The store will be open at the link below on November 1, 2021 and will close on December 13 at 10pm EST to allow time for shipping before Christmas. NOTE: the link is not active until November 1.

McClaren North. Hospital Newsletter: Effects of COVID-19 in Community

On Friday October 22nd, Petoskey-based hospital McLaren Northern Michigan issued a COVID-19 update newsletter which focused on the effects of COVID in the community, staffing shortages and how the community can help combat the ongoing crisis. The letter was summarized in an article in the Petoskey News-Review last Monday.
The Hospital’s letter makes very clear how COVID-19 has challenged our local hospital in all ways – staffing, space, patient care, etc. McLaren in very frank language shares how this pandemic and the number of unvaccinated in northern Michigan is challenging the hospital’s ability to serve those most critically sick our community.

Ladies Week-end Out in Harbor Springs Nov 11-14

Hunters may look forward to opening day of hunting season, but those who enjoy shopping in Harbor Springs are invited to enjoy a week-end of special pricing at downtown shops and restaurants. Harbor Springs Holiday Open House December 4, 2021

The annual Harbor Springs Merchants' Holiday Open House will be held Saturday, December 4^th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Enjoy an evening of strolling the Main Street (closed to traffic that night) to shop and enjoy hot and cold refreshments and holiday treats.
A special treat is music by the Petoskey High School Steel Drum Band. Weather permitting, it’s a lovely way to get in the holiday mood and the music is first rate!
