Cheboygan County Sheriff Dale V Claremont said, “I recommend all property owners have proper numbering of their residence to ensure timely response of First Responders (Fire, EMS and Law) in Cheboygan County. During an emergency it is vital for First Responders to be able to locate a residence in a timely manner.”

Take life jackets and cell phone on the boat
U.S. 31 resurfacing began last week
The U.S.31 work has begun on a 3.8-mile section of U.S. 31 between East Levering Road and Munger Road (Carp Lake) from June 4 to June 29. While the project is taking place, traffic will be impacted by lane closures. Flag personnel will direct motorists through construction areas in alternating directions.
The project includes new pavement marking and rumble strips.
