Cheboygan County Voters  -  Vote on August 7
In 2014, Cheboygan County voters approved for four years one mill for local road improvements. The voters are being asked to renew the millage on the August 7th election.
This proposal will permit the County to restore the County's 1 mill for road maintenance, repair and resurfacing previously approved by the electors and now expired. The Headlee Amendment previously reduced this millage to .9986 mills. This ballot proposal renews the existing .9986 mills and restores the .0014 mills previously rolled back by the Headlee Amendment.

We have a chick from the Marl Bay platform
confirmed 7/6/2018
It’s loon chick season. Loon chicks are on the lake.
Please keep some things in mind.
  • If disturbed often, loons abandon the nest.
  • When watercraft come close, parents leave their chicks to defend their territory.
  • Chicks tire easily. Getting close to them can weaken them, affecting their ability to survive.
Enjoy loons from a distance.
