Annual Meeting Follow-Up
UMBS Interim Director, Dr. Linda Greer, kicked off the meeting with news from UMBS. She covered many topics - Maple River Dam removal, new station biologist (Adam Schubel), new structure at the station, piping plovers and more. Please see the following two publications with info ...
Regional News - Smitten with the Mitten   &   What's New in 2017?

Jennifer McKay, Policy Director at the Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council, gave a brief and very informative overview of the Enbridge Pipeline 5. Many people have focused on the two pipelines that run under the Straits, but she feels there is great concern for the pipeline that runs through Michigan - from Mackinaw City through the Port Huron area to Sarnia, Ontario.  Informative materials were available from Enbridge and from TOMWC.

There were committee reports, and Susan Klaas was reelected as Treasurer.

Thank you to all that attended and also to those who sent proxies.
