DL Boat Ramp Dock Coming Out October 15th
Signs of autumn are all around the lake – migrating ducks and geese flying overhead, maples turning glorious crimsons and oranges, and boats/docks disappearing from the lakeshore.  Temperatures are dropping.  We know what’s coming next.  The DLIA’s Boat Ramp maintenance guys will be pulling the dock at the DLB boat ramp out for the season on Saturday morning, October 15th.
It’s been a season of accomplishment:  a new boat ramp with wider panels. Munro Township assuming responsibility for the Douglas Lake boat ramp. Fingers crossed that the storm gods treat the Douglas Lake shoreline gently this winter.

To the crew: many thanks for your summer of much-appreciated work.
ONLINE STORE TO OPEN NOVEMBER 1

Just a reminder that the Douglas Lake merchandise online store will reopen on November 1. A link to the store will be posted on the Douglas Lake website douglaslake.org and in an E-News. Don't miss out on the collectible book celebrating the Maple Bay loons or on the 2023 calendar. We still have plenty of cool weather apparel too! Last day to purchase will be December 15th to allow time for holiday mailing. If you have any questions or any problems once the store is open, don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Robinson Road Detour – update
Sorry, folks.  The detour on Robinson Road east of US 31 continues.  While it appears that work on the new bridge is completed, the road is not yet paved.  Until then, follow the detour signs when heading south on US #31, turn east on Woodland Road (turning for Dam Site Inn) and follow signs to Plains Rd, turn left on Plains until it ends at Robinson Rd. You can also turn east on Douglas Lake Rd from US#31 to DLB and turn right on Bryant Road following it to Robinson Road. Turn right on Robinson to get to Plains Road, turn left on Robinson if you’re heading to I-75 or UMBS.
