Cherry Capital Communication's Link Correction
The gremlins of ether messed with Grant Case's article "Fiber Internet for Douglas Lake" in the November Newsletter and scrambled the link to a form for those wishing to express interest in Cherry Capital Communication's(CCC) potential internet options for Douglas Lake residents primarily located on Bryant Road, Northwood Shores Drive, Douglas Lake Road, and the side roads along Maple Bay,

The form is available on the CCC website at:
https://www.cherrycapitalcommunications.com/douglas-lake-fiber

As Grant's Newsletter article described, please fill out this form,. Be sure to select/circle one of the Plans (Plans 1-4) on page one while completing the form.  Email it to Kolleen Thomas at Cherry Capital  Communications at:
kthomas@cherrycapitalconnection.com

If you have questions, please contact Kolleen at Cherry Capital via email or phone at 231-264-9970 option 1 or email Grant at douglaslakefiber@gmail.com
Where are the Missing Zone Reps?
The November Newsletter featured brief biosketches of 9 DLIA Zone Representatives.  We hope you enjoyed learning a little bit of how each rep came to his/her position and their interests at Douglas Lake. DLIA actually has 16 zone reps when we are fully "staffed" (everyone is a volunteer, of course.) The May Newsletter (the reason for the teaser picture of early summer loons on Douglas Lake) plans to include similar biosketches of the remaining Zone Representatives, if they are willing.
Currently there are two open Zone Rep positions - Zone 41 and Zone 71.  If one of these is your zone and you'd like to know more about what a zone rep does email Mary Ellen at president@douglaslake.org or just reread those zone rep bios in the November Newsletter. The strength of DLIA lies in the participation of its members.
President's Message Missing Photo
Some readers noticed that the picture of your President's participation in the Watershed Council's Vegetation Survey this summer was left on the cutting room floor of the November Newsletter.  Here it is!
And on a more seasonal note:
Happy Thanksgiving to all and Joyous Eating!
