Merchandise Sale Changed to Sunday, September 5 10 AM – Noon
          With the prediction of rain for tomorrow (Saturday) morning, Kelly Davis, DLIA Merchandise Manager, announced that the Sale date is changed to Sunday, September 5th, same time – 10:00a.m. – Noon; same location: Pellston Locker, just off Douglas Lake Road, in back of Pellston Lodge. 
          This is the last sale of the summer season! Shop now for the holidays.  See you on Sunday morning!
2021 Annual Mackinac Bridge Walk – Monday September 6, 2021
          The annual bridge walk is just days away! The bridge will be closed to public traffic during the walk, from 6:30 a.m. to Noon.  No public vehicles are allowed on the bridge until the walk concludes and participants are off the bridge. The 2021 Walk will start from both St. Ignace and Mackinaw City,
          A video posted on the Mackinac Bridge Authority website explains the bridge walk schedule and the options for walkers whether they start from north or south ends of the bridge.  The 2020 Bridge Walk was cancelled due to COVID.  Between 25,000 and 30,000 people have participated in recent years.

Lake Association Summit “Into the Weeds”
          The 16th Annual Lake Association Summit, hosted virtually by Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council, is Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 9:00 am - Noon. The “Into the Weeds” program focuses on plants – what is the connection between Fish and Flora, controlling aquatic invasive species, the cultural importance of wild rice, and several interesting break-out sessions.

Air Service proposal for Pellston Airport
          Emmet Country seeks public comment about a proposal from SkyWest Airlines to continue providing air service between Pellston Regional Airport and Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Details about the services offered are posted on the Emmet County website, www.emmetcounty.org.
          Direct all comments to Pellston Regional Airport director Ryan Bachelor at rbachelor@emmetcounty.org or call (231) 539-8411.  The public comment period is open until 8 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021.
