New Record for High Water Level
Adam Schubel, Resident Biologist at UMBS, reported a record high water level for Douglas Lake. The level is measured in feet above sea level.
May 6 -7, 2018 - record high 714.95
April 1985 - 714.94
May 1996 - 714.66

Please have your trash ready at the end of your driveway near the road by 7am.
One pickup load per household.

Allowed	Not Allowed
Household junk, bagged garbage, bundled building materials, furniture, scrap metal, appliances without Freon, dry cut carpet. Lumber must be cut to 3-foot lengths.	Brush, leaves and grass clippings, oil, liquid paint, flammable materials, chemicals, explosives, tires, batteries, cement, appliances with Freon and hazardous waste materials.

If you have problems or questions pertaining to trash day cleanup, please call Supervisor Charles Antkoviak at 231-627-7232.

No matter how short the ride, always have PFDs (life jackets) and your cell phone on the boat. It's a great idea to keep the 2018 Volunteer Boat Assist Team list on the boat. Download the list here.

Catch “free fishing fever” June 9-10
Grab a fishing rod and take advantage of Free Fishing Weekend June 9-10. Twice a year, residents and non-residents can enjoy two back-to-back days of fishing without a license. All other fishing regulations apply.
