Visiting Artist at ARTsPLACE

Beginning March 22nd, the Annapolis Region Community Arts Council (ARCAC) is introducing a pilot program to offer member artists a chance to be a Visiting Artist for a month (see below for open studio hours).

Liz Lore will be heading up the pilot to develop the format for this program in the future.  As the first Visiting Artist, Liz will be clarifying the direction of her practice and exploring areas of interest to establish her next body of work through experimentation, interaction, trial and error. Liz says, “I am very excited about being based in AR for [the month] and welcome other artists and residents to visit me during that time.  It will not be about producing a body of work or a product or project at the end – if that happens that is fine, but more importantly it will allow me the space and time, the freedom to explore and expand my interests and to share that with other artists culminating in an artist talk or discussion at the end that may inspire others.”

More information on her practice and her work can be found at www.lizlore.com.

Liz will be at ARTsPLACE from March 22 through April 19, 2016.
Visit Liz: OPEN STUDIO HOURS - THURSDAYS BETWEEN 2 & 4 PM AND SATURDAYS 1 & 3 PM.
