RNCM Saxophone Day
With Rob Buckland and Andy Scott as co-artistic directors, the highly successful annual RNCM Saxophone Day returns on 28 October 2012!

Established in 2000 and now the leading event of its kind in the UK the popular Sax Day comprises a stunning variety of concerts, workshops and a Massed Saxophones session.
~
This year's special guests are the Apollo Saxophone Orchestra, Huw Wiggin and Tim Abel, and two quartets led by players at the forefront of the international jazz scene; Karen Sharp and Marius Neset.

Ballad in Memory of Shirley Horn
Chester Novello have finally published the rewritten edition of Ballad in Memory of Shirley Horn by Richard Rodney Bennett. A beautifully crafted heartfelt composition the piece was rewritten for the tenor by the composer himself. The work was first performed in its new tenor saxophone form at the RNCM Sax Day 2008 by TSi Director Andy Scott.
