Royal Northern College of Music
Saxophone Day 2013

Rob Buckland, Andy Scott  artistic directors
10 November 2013
In its 13th year, the UK’s leading annual saxophone event features concerts,   workshops and presentations from special guests including classical saxophone legend Arno Bornkamp, jazz guests Iain Ballamy and BBC New Generation Artist Trish Clowes, plus Australian saxophonist and professor Matt Styles and two recent RNCM graduates, Jenni Watson and Matt London. In a first for the RNCM Saxophone Day, we also host the inaugural UK Vandojam, led by Michel Chevet, giving participants the chance to take centre stage and blow up a storm!

This RNCM Sax Day is particularly exciting for us at the TSi as it features our very own Jenni Watson [ contributor ] and Matt London [ lead developer ] performing and launching new albums with the latter a dedicated tenor saxophone album named Speak Now . We hope to see you there!

Resource Centre:

We are delighted to present a new article in the resource centre written by David Poulter.

Daivd looks into, and asks questions about Fantasia for Soprano or Tenor Saxophone and Chamber Orchestra by Heitor Villa-‐Lobos sparked from an encounter with the great Eugene Rousseau at the World Saxophone Congress XVI!
Coming soon! The Listening Hub is designed to bring together and promote original dedicated tenor saxophone recordings from across the world into one place for you to have a listen to and discover!

This represents our continuing commitment to develop the site ensuring the TSi's reputation and importance as one of the leading saxophone resource websites.
Astute Music is run by musicians specializing in publishing quality compositions recommended by their Editors, who are all leading players and teachers in their fields.

The RNCM is one of the UKs leading music conservatoires and multi venue establishments. Join our e-list for the latest events info.
