Address the Mess: The Mess in the Mirror
11:00 am Sundays in the Learning Center

It’s a common misconception that the Christian life is all about avoiding messes and staying out of trouble. But it turns out that your messes and the messy people you meet along the way may actually be your greatest opportunity to know God. In this 4-part series, Andy Stanley reminds us that following Jesus isn’t about avoiding something; it’s about becoming something. Stacey Crum facilitates.

What It Means to be Reformed
11:00 am Sundays in the Conference Room

Triune God, Fall of Man, Redemption ... what's it all mean as to how you live your life? Join in the ome to this class as a former Catholic and Presbyterian minister toss it around and join in the discussion.
Rev. James and Brian Malek facilitate.

Kids Rock & Graceland Sunday School Classes
11:00 am on Sundays + family activity

Each week we talk about Creation and the children will take home an activity page. Please look for this and complete as a family!

Kids Rock (kids 3-5) and Graceland (6 and up) will gather in the Chapel at 11:00, then head to the their classroom. If they worshiped with their family, they will already have their name tag and "claim number" that matches their "pick up person."

Pick up at the Nursery (Cozy Corner) for Kids Rock, and Room 118 for Graceland.

Cozy Corner Nursery   9:30 am - Noon

Infants ages 6 weeks through 3 years are welcome in the Cozy Corner during Worship. At 11:00, 3-year olds will be led to the Chapel and then their Sunday School class. Please be sure to check your littlest ones in and get name tags and "claim numbers" for all!

What will YOUR Plus 2 Be?

Have you decided? We're counting on you for Sunday Worship (in-person or livestreaming) plus 2 other things. But wait, there's more! Click to see!

You can connect with others in a small group like Alpha, Financial Peace or a Sunday School class, and serve as part of a ministry committee, special event or helping with the church workdays. Maybe you'd like to SING in the new music program. So much to choose from!

CHURCH NEWS

Session Meeting Tuesday Night
September 28 at 7:00 pm via Zoom

"The Jesus Music" Movie opens in theaters soon.
Want to see it with some of your church friends?

Make advance reservations (open now) at AMC Veterans for Sunday, Oct. 3rd at 2:30 pm. See you there!

With stirring songs of faith, love, and hope, Jesus music rose from America's 1960s counterculture movement to become a worldwide phenomenon. This fascinating documentary reveals the music's uplifting and untold story -- from its humble beginnings through its transformation into the multibillion-dollar industry of Christian Contemporary Music today.
Love or hate the music, this movie is the Soundtrack of a Movement, and worth a look.

There are several ways you can continue to help End 6. If you come to church when there are volunteers here, greet them and thank them. If you would like to volunteer, contact the church office. Due to COVID, a limited number of people can be in the pantry at one time but there are delivery opportunities and contributions of food are always a blessing. Many of our members are involved; Karla Grant and Kelly have delivered almost every week since the program began, Josh and Stacey Crum, Lynda Waters, Jane and Tony Brannan, Robin and Ken Shick, Winston DuBois, Nancy Corwin, and Carol LoCicero and Sandy Kennedy have all had ongoing involvement with the program. You have all made a difference and we are grateful for HPPC.

Monetary donations can be made to HPPC, designating End 68 Hours of Hunger.

Nope, Nope, Nope!
We do NOT ask for Gift Cards!

Neither Rev. James, nor the church office, nor anyone from Hyde Park Pres will EVER ask you to buy gift cards. We won't email you, text you, or call you asking for them. Unfortunately, nice people and nice organizations (like churches!) are targets for these SCAMS. Please do not respond in any way to these requests; just delete or hang up.
