Community Transition Support Newsletter
Welcome to the third CTS newsletter for 2016

This term has been exciting as the CTS team embarks on the next phase of the CTS project. We have worked alongside the North West CTS Management Committee which now has a revised membership. The CTS Management Committee has come together to begin the development of the two year strategic plan for the CTS project. Existing initiatives and projects will continue across the North West Melbourne region, supporting young people with disabilities from specialist schools to participate in employment, further education and training and community participation opportunities.
I encourage you to read about these below and on the CTS Website.

On behalf of the CTS team, thank you for your ongoing support and expertise.

Best wishes,
Meri Ivanovska

North West Melbourne Regional Strategy on Information for Young People with a Disability
North West Melbourne Regional Strategy on Information for Young People with a Disability

Following a launch event held in June 2016, a review of the work on the strategy has been completed. CTS together with the Strategy Steering Committee will lead the development of an implementation phase as the next step for this project.

As part of this next phase, a self assessment tool is being developed for individual organisations to examine the current processes in place that provide information to young people with disabilities. The results of these will be shared with the Strategy Steering Committee to identify the opportunities for collaboration and cooperation across Melbourne’s North West. To find out more, click here.
