NECF-Ready Workshops, Alternative Control Services & Electrical Contractor Line

 

National Energy Customer Framework - NECF Workshops

In response to a strong demand, extra spaces for the NECF-Ready workshops were made available however the workshops are now fully booked.

To ensure that all Electrical Contractors are informed about the required NECF changes, information will be made available on the Electrical Partners' Portal (EPP) by late May 2015 when the changes will start being rolled-out.  In addition, further information will be provided in future Electrical Contractor Updates over coming issues.

Alternative Control Services (ACS) 
'Specific Customer Work' reclassification's

A review undertaken by the Australian Energy Regulator will see approximately 70 services being reclassified as ACS 'Specific Customer Work'.  That is, costs are recovered from the customer requesting the work.

From 1 July 2015, customers will be charged a fee for such services such as:

  • After Hour Services and Final Reads
  • Additional Unfulfilled Site Visit (USV)
  • Provision, Test and Maintenance of CT's
  • Planning activities for small customer connections

Further information will be provided during the NECF-Ready Workshops and in future Electrical Contractor Updates.  Once final costs have been confirmed by the Australian Energy Regulator, the ACS fees will be available on the Energex web site from 1 July 2015.
 

Electrical Contractor Line - New IVR Menu

Please be aware that the IVR menu options on the Electrical Contractor Line         (1300 762 397) have changed slightly.  The new menu options are:

Option 1 - General Enquiries
Option 2 - Form 3 Enquiries
Option 3 - Technical Advice
