Electrical Partners Portal Changes

Feedback on Energex's Connection Standards for Large Embedded Generating Systems

Electrical Partners Portal to be Updated 10 December 2016

Energex has recently undertaken a project to help improve the way the Electrical Partners Portal is used.

From Saturday 10 December you will notice a number of changes when you access the portal.

My Connect
  • Selecting the correct NMI
At address search you will be provided additional information concerning the NMI, connection status and current tariffs.

My EWR
  • Easily locate your request type
The home page will include an EWR quick link section that details the highest volume EWR request types selected, such as New Connections and Solar.

The home page will also include the EWR Power User Links drop down list; this will detail the entire range of request types, allowing you to select your request type quickly and easily.
  • Address search changes
At address search you will be provided additional information concerning the NMI, connection status and current tariffs.

There will be validation between request type and the NMI e.g. a new connection can only be created on a NMI where supply has never been connected.
  • Bundling multiple services on 1 EWR
Where applicable you will be provided the option of selecting additional services to be bundled on your EWR; e.g. a solar installation with a controlled load meter install or meter removal.
  • Controlled loads
When you request a controlled load tariff you will be required to select an appliance against the tariff.
  • Selecting metering and tariff combinations
When you select your metering and tariffs you will only be able to choose from a list based on your service type and the metering and load details you have entered.

Feedback on Energex’s Connection Standards for Large Embedded Generating Systems

We would like your feedback on our Connection Standards for Large Embedded Generating Systems.

We are developing joint Energex and Ergon Energy standards for Queensland designers and installers of large embedded generating systems and we welcome feedback from industry and other stakeholders on the standards.

Two standards will be developed for the connection of systems above 30kW and up to 5 MW - one for high voltage systems and one for low voltage systems.

This is a change from our previous approach and will mean that standards are consistent across Queensland.

If you would like to have input into the development of these standards please email us at customerengagement@energex.com.au

This round of feedback will close on the 5 December 2016.
