For 2022, the annual meeting of Migratory Birds for People will be part of a regional capacity-building meeting in Senegal. If you are interested in participating, mark the dates in your calendar.
The main activities will happen on 7, 8, 9 October at Ndangane. This will include not just the usual review of the past year and plans for the next, and site visits. There will also be workshops on CEPA in West Africa, the role of wetland visitor centres, and community engagement. We also intend to mark World Migratory Bird Day.
There will be a small fee for participants from Europe, which will be used to subsidise travel for wetlands educators or engagers from West Africa who might not otherwise be able to attend.
The organisers are keen to encourage exchange of expertise and networking. They can provide an invitation letter to help with your travel and time commitment.
