The latest from Sue Chastain
Hello, dear readers! Welcome to 2016!
There is this quiz thing that's been going around Facebook about what is your word for the year. I didn't do the quiz. I usually don't do those things, but I have been thinking about it and have decided that my word for 2016 is going to be 'giving.'
You see, I really feel like I have found what I should be doing in my life right now with this coloring book endeavor. While it is a creative outlet for me, the bigger reason I love it so much is because it's helping people--people who are hurting mentally and physically, those who are housebound or confined, and people who just need a way to escape the problems of the day and express their creativity. And I firmly believe that giving and helping people will come back around in ways I could never imagine.
I experienced the real benefits of coloring for myself back in November when I had shingles--I can attest that it absolutely works for pain management. Now I just want more people to have access to this therapeutic activity. So, starting this month, I am going to pay-what-you-can pricing for many of my coloring products.
I'm still figuring it out, so I can't promise this is the way it will be set up every month, but for January, this is how it will work...
First, just for being a subscriber, I want you to have this Fireflower coloring page absolutely free. It is yours to download with no strings attached. I only ask that if you have not yet tried coloring for yourself--give it a try! (Click the image below to download)
Secondly, I have put together a bundle of six coloring pages at a pay-what-you-can price. Maybe you know someone that could benefit from this wonderful hobby… Please tell them about it, gift them this bundle, or share this newsletter with them.
I do ask for a small base price because I spend a lot of time perfecting these designs and I need to cover some of the costs associated with running the web site. I intend to keep this low to give more people the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of adult coloring.
I'll be changing the pricing on more of my digital download products to a pay-what-you-can structure over time, and we'll see how it goes. For starters, you can pay what you want for "Sea Turtles Splash" by clicking the image below.
I would love to keep doing this, and your generous support will help me do that! If you can’t afford more than the base price, that’s okay! Another way you can show your support and help me continue producing therapeutic coloring pages is to tell others about this newsletter, my books, and my site.
While I don't have the freedom to do pay-what-you-can on my print books, I will be launching new books with limited-time, early-bird pricing to reward you--my most loyal fans.
And that brings me to the exciting news that I have about 80% of the designs completed for my next coloring book! This book is going to be something a little different and I think you are really going to like it. The book will be launching later this month at a very low early-bird price, so stay tuned and ask your friends to sign up because you'll hear about it here first!
Meanwhile, here are a few more things I think you will enjoy…
