Wongamat Beach still "The Address"

If you have not been to Wongamat Beach for a year or two, you might be surprised by what you see. Soi 16 symbolizes the new and trendy Wongamat Beach.

Serenity, The Palm & Baan Plai Haad are all well underway, while  Wongamat Tower is complete and ready to move in. 

Other neighbors include Northpoint, The Cove and Ananya Condo. And of course Wongamat still boasts the stately domed gems Park Beach, Sky Beach and Silver Beach condos.

This month’s New Projects News focuses on Wongamat, consistent with our overall theme.  Much development is underway here, and you really should have a look if you have not done so recently. 

Construction begins at The Riviera Wongamat
Last month the Riviera Group began construction on The Riviera Wongamat, a 2 tower, 979 unit high rise condo. Off plan sales have been very strong.

Serenity Wongamat is nearing completion - June 2015
Nova Group’s project Serenity Wongamat, an 8 story resort style condo, is in the final stages of construction.  The condo should be ready to move in no later than June of this year. Prices here are less than half than for other projects featured here. This is because sea views are available from the rooftop pool, not individual units.
 
Sansiri's first Pattaya project is soaring skyward
Baan Plai Haad, at the Wongamat Beach headlands will offer stunning views from each residence as well as from the rooftop party deck.  Sansiri is a prolific developer, yet this is their first project in Pattaya so they are pulling out all the stops.

Top Choice - Serenity
65 sqm 2 bed, 3.7 M THB - walk to the beach
Just north you have Baan Plai Haad and just west you have The Palm. A couple hundred meters south there is Wongamat Tower and The Riviera Wongamat. Do the math, this is exceptional value anywhere around.
Writing this month's publication took me back to my early days here in Pattaya. My first office was a small one on Naklua Soi 16 just up the road from the new condos featured here. I fell in love with the area then, and Wongamat is only better now. 

Better sometimes comes with a price, and increased property prices and strain on infrastructure are two of the challenges we are facing. Pattaya continues to make infrastructure investments as we see from the current road works to build a tunnel to bypass express traffic off of Sukhumvit road. This 3-year project will help in the long run, but in the short run there will be some inconveniences. I say bring it on.

Last month we saw Daniela Hantuchova win her 3rd PTT Pattaya Open, defeating up and comer Ajla Tomljanović (thanks to my friend Neal for the great photo). As I write this, Day 3 of the Honda LPGA Thailand tournament is at Siam Country Club Pattaya (Old Course) is teeing off. Several of the world's best golfers are in this tournament.
