Woo hoo, Summer Readers! Plus save the date for Nov. 14, family day at Concord Prison, and catch up on CLiF in the news

July 2014

Summer!

"Dear Simon,
I liked it when you gave us books."

We just received this adorable thank you note from a happy young reader to CLiF storyteller Simon Brooks. Look at all those carefully color-coordinated books!

CLiF's Summer Readers programs are reaching 3,700 kids at sites all across the Twin States this summer. Duncan, Simon, and many other wonderful CLiF presenters are on the road talking with kids about books, telling stories, letting children select new books to keep, and inspiring kids to read for fun -- and beat the effects of summer slide.

See our event list for a Summer Readers event near you!

And you can join the fun! See "Give a Book to a Summer Reader" below.

Warm wishes (but stay cool),
Duncan, Meredith, Katie, Gretchen, and Jana

On July 16, CLiF brought storytelling and new books to the New Hampshire State Prison for Men for a visiting day and barbecue for inmates enrolled in the Family Connections Center.
