Featuring works from Waverly Artist's Group
David Stickel & Deborah Sanks

The artistic lens through which watercolorist David Stickel sees and paints is full of detail, color and fascination. His passion is to use His God-given ability to draw the viewer into a visual journey through the stories found in the reflections of a window, translucent petals of a rose or intricate Chinese characters on a teacup.

Deborah Sanks, a native West Virginian, began her self-directed art education in 2000. Deborah paints exclusively in oils and entirely with a palette knife, giving her paintings an intriguing texture. Her work is impressionistic in nature, but with a strong use of color. This imparts her work with a distinctive trademark that “makes you want to be there”.  Her paintings feature many scenes from Fearrington Village and her travels.
