The Good Wasp
WaspThe emerald ash borer, the non-native pestilence that threatens local ash trees, may have a few natural enemies after all. The USDA has teamed up with CU, CSU and agriculture departments to release a parasitic wasp into Boulder that specifically targets emerald ash borer larvae. If you see these wasps, which black, small (the size of a gnat) and harmless to people and pets, please do not kill them: they are helping to save ash trees!
