Families With Children in Russian Hill - Thank you so much for coming out to some of our recent RHN events for Families With Children. We love getting to know other families in the neighborhood and figuring out ways to make Russian Hill an even more wonderful place to raise our kids!

Please note that our Russian Hill Neighbors Annual Membership Drive is continuing. The all-volunteer board of our non-profit organization works year-round to help make Russian Hill a better place to live. Funds we generate from the Annual Membership Drive directly support our events and initiatives! Please renew your tax-deducible membership or consider joining today if you have not already via our Membership page. Thank you!

Free Holiday Card Workshop for Kids

Grandparents love the handcrafted masterpieces their grandchildren create, and kids will enjoy our hands-on holiday card workshop! They can make a Christmas card for Santa or Grandma and Grandpa or a Hanukkah card for someone special. We’ll provide the card template, envelope, and all the bling for decorating the card. Children of all ages  are welcome to the workshop. Email Julia@colehardware.com if you have any questions or just come by.
 
RHN New Year Family Day at Helen Wills Playground

10:00 am -12:00 pm
Guess who does NOT get to sleep in on the first day of the new year?  Parents, that’s who. So please join RHN Families With Children at Helen Wills playground on the morning of January 1 to start off 2017 surrounded by friends and neighbors.  We will provide coffee, doughnuts, and a fenced in area for your kids to burn off some energy while you recover from the festivities of the previous evening.  Happy New Year!
   
Ongoing in December - Cole Hardware Adopt-a-Family
For the past six Christmas seasons, Cole Hardware’s Rockridge store manager, Tessa, has participated in a holiday adopt-a-family program and has adopted three families again this year.  The Polk Street store is helping her out with this, and is soliciting  presents and gift cards for these mothers and their children:
Family 1 - Mom, 12 year old boy
Family 2 - Grandma, newborn boy, 1 year old boy, 2 year old boy, 4 year old girl
Family 3 - Mom, 16 year old girl

Introducing Nine Studio! Russian Hill Neighbors is thrilled to introduce to the neighborhood NINE STUDIO, a new child-centered business! In case you have not checked it out yet, Nine Studio (1439 Pacific) is an inclusive child centered art studio where children learn to enjoy being themselves.  They have weekly classes, open studio time, and vacation and holiday camps.  Please check out their website at www.nine.education or walk by and check out the gorgeous art space.
