What's New At Healthy Growing Churches!

Welcome to the re-launch of the Healthy Growing Churches Newsletter. It’s been about one year since our last newsletter was published, and we first want to thank you for subscribing.

So, what’s new about the re-launch of our newsletter? Our focus will be on the content that originally interested you to become a subscriber. We will be featuring monthly news about the progress we have had in fulfilling our mission of building the kingdom of God, as well as stories about the churches and pastors who are actively engaged in this mission. Randy Spence, our Resource Catalyst, will be the editor responsible for consolidating all of our external communications, including this newsletter.

We are excited about the progress that HGC has made in 2014 in building our leadership team and fulfilling our mission.  With the launch of our new website in about a month, we’ll be sharing more with you about this progress. We hope you enjoy the video of Greg sharing our news and the pre-announcement of our annual Networking Event to be held next March. Stay tuned for more news in the coming months.

Multiplication Moment

HGC and the state ministries in Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan have partnered for more effective church multiplication in the region. A big part of this Midwest Multiplication Initiative is an effort called Cultivating Congregations or identifying local churches that agree to flip the question from ‘Should we multiply?' to ‘How will we multiply?’  Our 2014 goal was for ten percent of the churches in the region to agree to become a Cultivating Congregation.

We reached our 10% goal this summer and on August 19th in Lima, Ohio, the Cultivating Congregations gathered as a group for the first time. The energy in the room was off the chart with 80 pastors/leaders representing 30 churches from Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan wrestling with what their next multiplication step might be.

God is authoring some incredible multiplication stories in the Midwest Region through this partnership. What God is up to with the Cultivating Congregation effort is beyond exciting and thrilling to watch unfold.
