The Penn Museum, the Mexican Cultural Center, and the Mexican Consulate in Philadelphia join forces again to present the popular, annual Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) celebration. Enjoy Mexican culture and the tradition of the Day of the Dead at this family-friendly afternoon filled with music and dance, puppetry and storytelling, and arts and crafts.
For the first time, the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta will partner with the Gold Cup Foundation to bring the top male and female scullers from around the world for a competition on the Schuylkill River. The 2015 Regatta, this Saturday, Oct. 24 and Sunday, Oct. 25, will host hundreds of masters, veterans, adaptive and recreational athletes, and an additional 40,000 – 50,000 spectators. Above is the Swiss "Stämpfli 24 Express” the world’s largest rowing boat, with 24 rowers instead of the usual 8.
