A look back at recent events...
The Globys Awards is the leading distinguished occasion where outstanding individual accomplishments with international implication are recognized and celebrated in six categories.

Our honorees, sponsors, and attendees helped make the 2022 event a huge success! In GPA's ongoing support of Ukraine and the promotion of World Heritage, the success of the Globys Awards raised $ for the World Heritage City of Lviv.

Mark your calendar for March 17th for the 
Sustainable Development Goal Campaign Exhibit
at the Philadelphia International Airport!

To celebrate the strides the Global Philadelphia Association has made promoting Sustainable Development in our World Heritage City, the Philadelphia International Airport has put out an exposition showcasing the various SDG films, murals, local nonprofits, generous sponsors, and community involvement that have been the foundation of this ambitious and worthwhile project. 

The UN's SDGs are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet.

2023 International Day of Monuments & Sites on April 18th!

Quickly approaching its 41-year anniversary, the International Day of Monuments and Sites will be celebrated all over the world as a way to honor heritage, diversity, community, and the environment.

Global Philadelphia Association will be hosting its next board meeting on March 15th from 12 - 1:30 pm. All board members are expected to attend.

Recent news to check out...

The U.S. has submitted a multi-country nomination to the World Heritage List.

The Nomination includes Historic Moravian Church Settlements in Bethlehem, Herrnhut, Germany, and Gracehill, Northern Ireland/United Kingdom. It is proposed to have them join Christiansfeld, Denmark, designated a World Heritage Site in 2015, to be a single Moravian Church Settlement Site that represents the world-wide Moravian Church Settlements. This is the first multi-national nomination for the United States.
