Christmas | Yarnton Nurseries Garden & Shopping Village
Santa Arrives! Saturday 26th November - 2pm
As we begin to get into the Christmas spirit here at Yarnton Nurseries, we felt like it was time to do things a little differently this year.
The one and only Father Christmas will be arriving at his grotto in the garden centre soon, but this year he has traded in his helicopter for a vintage motorcycle and side car!

Saint Nick will also be bringing along 2 reindeer for you and your little ones to get up close to under the supervision of Santa's elves! We will also be joined by Jonathan the Jester, who will be here keeping you entertained with magic, balloon modelling and plenty of other fun activities.

The day is set to be full of fantastic, festive fun, and you can visit Santa's Grotto, where your little ones can meet the man himself for FREE.

Supper With Santa
If you would prefer a more personal visit from Santa this year, our ever-popular Supper with Santa event returns!

You can now book your place to enjoy a freshly prepared, festive supper and meet Father Christmas.

To avoid dissapointment we recommend booking as soon as possible.

How Does the Autumn Wildlife Garden Make Me Feel, and Why?
Stuart Mabbutt | Wildlife Gardening Specialist
The world seems to be closing in a little since the clocks went back an hour, the nights are drawing in, we are consolidating, and stocking up for Christmas and the New Year. What is actually going on though?
In general I think we are cosying up, or as the Danes would say “We are experiencing the Hygge effect”. What is Hygge, well, it’s more of an experience and a feeling of cosyness and togetherness...

Keep your colour this Winter
Here at Yarnton Nurseries we have a great selection of berry plants now in stock.
Such as different shrubs, like arbutus unedo, which is commonly known as the strawberry tree. Right now we have some with strawberries hanging off them all ready.
We also have cllicarpa profusion, which is a bright purple berried shrub that grows against a wall or can be a free standing shrub.
Maybe it's something to grow up against the wall you are looking for this Winter? There is nothing better than pyracantha, which comes in 3 beautiful different colours, orange, yellow and red.
