'Hear the Nominees Speak' - Auckland NZIA Tues 23 February
The NZIA Local Board elections for new Councillors are coming up in early March, and in Auckland and Wellington, the seats are hotly contested - this is a call to be involved and vote. (It's easy and will be electronic this year.)
In Auckland, the NZIA Branch is holding a 'Hear the Nominees Speak' evening tonight at 5:30pm - you can hear the three candidates discuss their involvement in architecture and their vision for the Institute, then chat informally with them over a glass of wine. Get along to the NZIA Office, Level 5, 21 Queen Street to hear Courtney Kitchen, Marko den Breems and Pete Townsend, and you can also read their bios in the recent NZIA Bulletin of 19 February 2016.

Courtney Kitchen Profile
All three candidates for the Auckland Branch of the NZIA bring value and expertise, but A+W•NZ believes that having more women visible on Council is a good thing for all architects. Courtney also represents the architect as employee, a major group in architectural practices throughout New Zealand, yet rather unrepresented on the NZIA Councils. Courtney has recently completed the 'Future Leaders' programme and has been active with the NZIA as a member of the Auckland Branch committee for several years.
