Cazu Zegers - Presentations in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch
Architecture+Women are proud to present Cazu Zegers as the international speaker touring New Zealand to mark the launch of an exhibition in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Chilean architect Cazu Zegers studied at the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Valparaiso, and later worked in New York and studied at the Parsons School of Design. In 1997 she founded the A.I.R.A. Group (an acronym of the words Art, Imagination, Rigor and Love). Zegers' architectural work has its origins in the relationship between the poetic word and the landscapes of South America. Her best knownprojects include the Hotel Tierra Patagonia, the Church of the Holy Spirit at Puente Alto, the Casa del Fuoco and the Casa nella Cala, for which she won the prize at the Buenos Aires Biennale of Architecture in 1993. Two books of her work entitled have been published, Prototypes in Territory and Carpentry, both in 2008. 10 CPD points. Cazu will also presenting lectures in Christchurch & Wellington.
