Lenten Book Study
Our first Lenten Book Study included 50 folks from around Baltimore and beyond! It was a terrific experience, and you can join us even for just one night if you like. We begin at 7:30 pm. This is in place of our Wednesday Night Live Compline service. Even if you have not read the first two chapters of Presiding Bishop Curry's book, I do hope you will join us. You will learn from and make connections with some new friends.

Lent Madness
A Bracket for Saints Lent Madness began in 2010 as the brainchild of the Rev. Tim Schenck. In seeking a fun, engaging way for people to learn about the men and women comprising the Church’s Calendar of Saints, Tim came up with this unique Lenten devotion. The format is straightforward: 32 saints are placed into a tournament-like single elimination bracket. Each pairing remains open for a set period of time and people vote for their favorite saint. 16 saints make it to the Round of the Saintly Sixteen; eight advance to the Round of the Elate Eight; four make it to the Faithful Four; two to the Championship; and the winner is awarded the coveted Golden Halo. Community Garden? by Cindy Burggraf
The luminous Audrey Hepburn once said, “To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” Our congregation has recently purchased the house and property next to the church. That big patch of flat grass in full sun sure would be a perfect place to start a Community Garden to make the tomorrows of many in Baltimore better.
This week Stewart and I attended an inspiring Zoom session, sponsored by the Episcopal Church, on planning and maintaining a community garden. I am excited to help lead this effort. We need a group of people to help us think and plan what our garden ministry could look like. Who would we serve? How will it work? How big will it be? How can we include our neighbors, members and other partners in the community? Thank you for praying about this growing endeavor!
If you are interested in digging into our beginning conversations on how to use our space for a garden ministry, please email me, Cindy Burggraf. We'll be getting a small team together to talk in the next few weeks.
