A big thankyou to Healthy Together Bendigo for their sponsorship of the next two events.

Changemaker Tip of the Month

As changemakers, we're always striving to create a better world. We put our heart and soul into the things that matter to us. Despite all these efforts we put in, sometimes decisions are made that are out of our control that seem to go against the change that we are trying to create. When this happens it can get really frustrating, and we get to a point where we think all hope is lost for a better world.

At times like this it is critical to get back in touch with the difference we are making around us, no matter how big or small.

Words such as described in this beautiful article "We were made for these times" can remind us that change is possible and that hope wasn't lost at all, it was just hidden for a moment. Yes there is hope and yes we were made for these times.

Keep up the amazing work you are doing in your community, it really does make a difference!

"Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach. Any small, calm thing that one soul can do to help another soul, to assist some portion of this poor suffering world, will help immensely. It is not given to us to know which acts or by whom, will cause the critical mass to tip toward an enduring good."

Bendigo Social Change 101

The School for Social Entrepreneurs Social Change 101 Program hit it off in Bendigo last month! 14 budding social entrepreneurs from around Central Victoria came together to start the 4 month intensive program. The students jumped straight in having to pitch their idea to a roomful of local mentors. We look forward to hearing how they go over the next few months. Read more here!

Expand Your Impact Workshops

Local changemakers build their skills: We've been working in partnership with the Bendigo Sustainability Group to bring a series of 4 workshops to emerging sustainability leaders. The first workshop "Project Planning with a Difference" was held last week. These workshops were made possible via a community grant provided by the City of Greater Bendigo. Read more here!

Road Trip to Canberra

Taking leadership to a new level: We've recently started a new initiative to encourage innovative changemaking organisations to share their vision, ideas and wants with local, State and Federal politicians in a positive, engaging and respectful way. It's been an amazing journey so far. Stay tuned for many stories and learnings to share.
