Big Ripple Effect

Every now and then we stop and ask ourselves ‘Hey !!! Why do we do this again?’ Let's face it, some days it's hard work being a ‘changemaker’ : )

Right now we are spurred on by the ripple effect our work is having - out there… where it counts….

BIG Give has just achieved awesome results for 73 Central Victorian groups, and we’ve proudly been in the 'thick of it’ from the beginning.

Adam Fennessy has encouraged BIG Vision, and we’ve been there to support him, as well as paving the way for some amazing people in the Lancefield region. Simply great people doing great things

Most importantly we include ourselves in a BIG hearted community, who strive for a better future. And in this we get to play a part in the BIG Ripple effect… of positive change. Here’s how we do it.

Happy changemaking from Karen Corr and the Make a Change team.

Congratulations to the team at Community Foundation for Central Victoria, on pulling off BIG GIVE with a BANG!

Big thanks to you all from the Make a Change team ... for having us on board, the roller coaster ride of inventing this fabulous new initiative.

Our communication work on the project was
challenging, creative and fun ... as Central Victorians responded to the call ... 'Give where you live'.

Look here to see what we achieved together.
Expand Your Impact provided participants with resources to build their vision, mobilize their ‘A” team, the know how to ‘talk-up’ their project and be resource reach. -

Workshop for Not for Profits in Central Victoria

Collaboration for Not for Profits

I’ve really enjoyed presenting to Central Victorian leaders and not for profits at a number of recent events. This has included the Victorian Leadership Summit and the City of Greater Bendigo’s Networking Forum on one of my favourite topics “Collaboration in Communities".

Don't hesitate to contact me if you would like me to speak at your next event.

Resources for Changemakers

It’s been great implementing programs and training for changemakers across Victoria this year.

Particularly as we are continually building up our resources and tools to help our fellow changemakers take their work and impact to new levels.

Mary Leong’s tips for Building A Culture of Participation In Your Community are:

1. Reach people where they are
2. Establish clear parameters for participation
3. Be welcoming and inclusive
4. Close the loop
5. Strengthen and empower neighbourhoods
