Christian Lemaire
Christian Lemaire was born in Dunkerque in the north of France in 1932. He was gifted a Leica M3 camera at age 18 and began to take pictures. Influenced by his peers Henri Cartier-Bresson and Willy Ronis, Lemaire began his career working for publications such as Elle and Marie Claire.
His first U.S. exhibition opens Friday, December 2 at Duncan Miller Gallery in Los Angeles. If you're in LA, the opening is 6-8 pm. |
