Dear Parents,
Happy New Year!  My wish for all of you in this new year is that you may be blessed with all of the good things God has to give.
Though hard to believe, here at St. Joan of Arc School we have put Christmas behind us and are ready to begin the second half of the 2018-2019 school year.  We will hold our annual Catholic Schools Week Open House Sunday, January 27th from 12:00-2:00 p.m.  Please join us for refreshments, guided tours of our nationally recognized Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, science fair and art displays, and meet our students, faculty, alumni and parents.  If you are interested or have friends and neighbors who are interested in Catholic education, please share the Good News of St. Joan of Arc School.  Tell them we are a school that BELIEVES IN THE DIFFERENCE FAITH MAKES.  The open house marks the beginning of a weeklong series of events as St. Joan of Arc School joins over 8,000 Catholic schools across the nation in celebrating Catholic Schools Week.  All are welcome so please set aside this date and join us as we celebrate our parish school.
During the week of February 4 - 8, the registration process will begin for any families, K-8, who are interested in attending St. Joan of Arc School for the 2019-2020 school year.  You may stop at the school to complete the registration forms.  If you have any questions, please call the principal, Mrs. Shelley DiBacco at 247-6530.  The school hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

God's Blessings,
Shelley DiBacco

This Weekend in Crusader Basketball….
Our 3rd Grade Boys came out victorious against St. Gabriel on Saturday.  Kudos to all of boys for their hard work and a huge shout out to Ethan Pierre for sinking 2 buckets!
The 6th Grade boys improved to 4-0 on the season with a 45-23 victory over Communion of Saints.  They were off and running right from the beginning with Josh Koltas tipping the ball to AJ Gildone who turned and passed cleanly to AJ Panzica who quickly scored a layup.  SJA continued to play lightning fast scoring multiple baskets from transition opportunities.  The team scored 13 points in the 1st quarter and added 16 more in the 2nd. AJ Panzica scored 11, Slater Schoaf scored 10, Tom Lowe scored his season high 7, and Gunnar Didier scored 6.  It was a great team effort with 7/8 Crusaders scoring!
The 7th Grade Boys team went 2-0 over the Christmas break. Both games were played in the Corpus Christi Christmas Tournament. Victories were gained over St. Dominic (39-23) and St. Mary Chardon (30-23). The team finished the round-robin portion of the tournament at 3-0 and will play in the semi-final on Friday night. High scorers for the games were Holden Kajfasz (10 points vs St. Dominic and 9 vs St. Mary), Jack Alexander (10 points vs St. Dominic) and Bridger Bischof (6 points vs St. Mary).
