Edible Campus UNC is a program of the North Carolina Botanical Garden that creates working landscapes across UNC-Chapel Hill to facilitate campus community engagement in topics of food and agriculture sustainability. 

Beginning of Semester

We have had a busy start to the semester! Our weekly workdays are back in full swing. Thank you to those of you who come out and brave the heat! We could not do this without you.

We loved meeting all of you who came to SmallFest and cannot wait to see you out in the gardens!



Our workdays this week are every Monday and every other Thursday from 3:00-5:00 pm @ the main Edible Campus Garden behind Davis Library.

Seeking Waterers

We are seeking volunteers to help water our newly planted seedlings - no experience required! The Edible Campus garden management team will provide training for new volunteers as needed! Sign up for information to volunteer by emailing or


Harvest Moon

Our annual harvest moon festival is approaching! We invite speakers, performers, and food vendors. Save the date for Wednesday September 22nd from 7:00-8:30 in Forest Theater. Doors open at 6:30 and performances start at 7:00.

Davis -  stevia, mint, mountain mint, catmint, wood sorrel, lemon balm, chamomile, fennel, lavender
Lenoir - rosemary, cilantro, garlic, tomatoes, basil, figs
Fetzer - sweet potatoes
Rams -  okra, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers
Hardin - oregano, lavender, sage, mountain mint, chives, chicory, okra, figs
Sasb - lavender, rosemary
