3rd Annual Empty Bowls Event

ECHO’s 3rd Annual Empty Bowls was a smashing success! Over 200 people joined us at St. Andrews United Methodist Church for an afternoon of soup tasting and fellowship. Attendees also heard first-hand how ECHO helps those in need in the community from two individuals- Bob, a former HCC Intern and Barbara, a client turned terrific volunteer. Thanks to our Presenting Sponsors, Publix Super Market Charities, Inc. and Sosa Law Office along with all of other sponsors and attendees, we were able to raise over $20,000! This will go a long way to fulfilling our mission of providing emergency care to families in need and helping them toward self-sufficiency.

2015 ECHO Volunteer Luncheon

On Tuesday, January 27, we gathered at The Bridges in Riverview to honor our hard working volunteers who are the lifeblood of ECHO. This is our opportunity to say thank you to hundreds of volunteers who selflessly give thousands of hours so that ECHO can help thousands of area residents in need. This year we honored volunteers who have worked with us continuously for 10 years or more. Congratulations to our President’s Volunteer Service Award Lifetime Achievement Winners!

DISCOVER ECHO Tours

Have you ever wondered how ECHO provides food, clothing and basic social services to thousands of area residents each year? The community is invited to join us for a one hour exploration of ECHO each month on the second Friday (at 12:30 p.m.) or the fourth Wednesday (at 8 a.m.)  of each month. This is your opportunity to come to ECHO and see how your donations are put to good use helping those in need. You can join us as an individual, group or family. We are pleased to also offer separate tour times to large groups. To register, email Laura@echofl.org or call 685-0935 ext. 8008.
