Life in Italy, no more waking up to munching zebras. :-(

Ben trovata! its good to be back!

Its update time again. My April newsletter announced my move back to Italy from Zambia, and for those of you with whom I have not been in touch... I made it. Actually WE made it. My female feline, Kandinsky, is with me here in Lucca. Unfortunately I lost her bro, Cezanne, a couple months before my departure from Mazabuka, most likely to a python. Life is cruel.

I feel like I hit the ground running, its been crazy busy with only a couple days to go for mountain hikes or to leisurely swim and chill at the beach. I have already had two shows (one in Cortona, one in Lucca) and will be working with two painting holiday companies here in Tuscany next year, teaching 10-day workshops. Meanwhile, I have been out painting small studies en plein air amongst the sunflowers and in town, teaching a bit of English conversation privately, and helping my neighbor paint our lovely house front & back. I still have yet to unpack my boxes of clothes, but will get on that as soon as this show finishes.
Back with my buddies in Lucca!
