A brief note from the Centre for Christian Studies

Shine YOUR Light on Learning

the light shines in the darkness

As we move into the fourth day of Christmas, we notice that we’re in a season of both darkness and light. These are days when you are perhaps cozying up with a book or taking time for reflection on the year.  It is also the traditional Feast of the Holy Innocents, which reminds us that children are still dying unjustly and there is still need for hope and light in our world.
Bev’s husband and parents all died this year, but the community meal organized by a student at a drop-in ministry gave her company at a lonely time.  In their field placements and work lives, students are often at the point where hope and despair meet.

And you are there too.

At the Centre for Christian Studies students learn to walk with people in the darkness and help them light tiny flames of hope.

You help light the way with your prayers and generosity.

If you haven’t done so yet, please take a moment now to make an end of year gift  of $25, $100, or an amount of your choice, to ensure CCS students have the best possible theological education to bring compassion and justice to those who need it most
