Next Event - March 12th

Thanks to everyone who came out to this month's Hailey networking event at the Sawtooth Brewery Taproom. It was another great event with solid attendance, and it's so fun to see this community starting to get to know each other!

Just as a reminder, events will be held the second Thursday of each month, alternating between North Valley and South Valley, so put it on your calendars!

Next month's Ketchum networking event will be:

Thursday, March 12th
@ The Boho Lounge
5:30 - 7:30 PM

Huge thanks to The Boho Lounge for hosting our next mixer!

Issue: 2020 Census

The 2020 Census is happening this spring, and getting an accurate count for our valley is hugely important, as it affects issues such as Federal and State funding for roads and schools as well as determining political boundaries including legislative districts. Blaine County is an especially difficult area to collect an accurate census due to difficult-to-reach populations and our non-physical mailing system (they won't send census forms to PO boxes).

If you're interested in helping, you can join the Complete Count Committee, whose next meeting is March 2nd at 4:00 in the County Courthouse upstairs meeting room. There are also jobs available working for the census. Here's more information in English and Spanish as well as some FAQs.

Issue: Idaho 2020 Ballot Initiatives

There are three ballot initiatives in Idaho seeking the minimum petition signatures for their issues to be put on the November ballot. Click the links to learn more about the campaigns:

Spread the Love

Please help us get the word out about this group and get more people involved. The more young people that we can get to join forces, the stronger our voices, our network, and our community will be. Feel free to forward this email, invite friends to join our Facebook page, bring them along to the gatherings, or just introduce them to a fellow young professionals.

And remember, we're not just looking for office-dwelling folks here - anyone who lives and works in the valley and wants to be a part of building the next generation of leaders is a "young professional" in our minds!
