Resource Road

Eviction Prevention in Toronto

Residents and tenant associations from across Toronto worked together with the City of Toronto to develop this Eviction Prevention Toolkit. In this toolkit is information about your rights as a tenant, information on the eviction process, and resources you can utilize for support. This toolkit is intended to be an additional resource someone facing eviction can use and not a replacement for sound legal advice.

Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls, a Canadian Responsibility | Sophie Kiwala

Shedding a spotlight on a video, podcast, or other learning resource

Below is an excerpt from the description of this YouTube video.

"True reconciliation can only be achieved when it exists in the hearts and minds of every Canadian.  Why that matters is related to Canada's heart-wrenching history of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. Sophie Kiwala [the facilitator of this session] was the former MPP for Kingston and the Islands where she served as the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, Children and Youth, and Tourism Culture and Sport."
