A few months ago, 14 Muslim American leaders were invited to a private round-table meeting with President Obama, exclusively to discuss the accomplishments and concerns of the Muslim American community. (See press release here.) It was the first meeting of its kind, and I was honored to attend and share the important work of American Muslim Health Professionals (AMHP).
Some of our current and upcoming projects include:
EnabledMuslim.org: educating, connecting, and supporting Muslims living with disabilities
Connecting Muslims to Coverage: working with partner organizations to reach over50,000 people across the U.S. with our health insurance outreach and enrollment campaigns over the last two enrollment periods
AMHP Blog: educating and engaging in important discussions about diverse health-related topics
Mental Health Initiatives: addressing discrimination and alienation among Muslim youth
National Directory of Muslim Health Professionals: developing a database searchable by location and professional field to connect our community
AMHP is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization. All donations made to AMHP are tax-deductible.
