Where Faith & Healthy Communities Come Together

Assalam Alaikum,
A few months ago, 14 Muslim American leaders were invited to a private round-table meeting with President Obama, exclusively to discuss the accomplishments and concerns of the Muslim American community. (See press release here.) It was the first meeting of its kind, and I was honored to attend and share the important work of American Muslim Health Professionals (AMHP).
This opportunity I had to tell the President about the incredible contributions of Muslim health professionals to American society shows the importance of building national-level institutions that represent us. But in order to do so, we need your support. Will you become a Monthly Donor and be a sustaining supporter of AMHP?
Some of our current and upcoming projects include:
  • educating, connecting, and supporting Muslims living with disabilities
  • Connecting Muslims to Coverageworking with partner organizations to reach over 50,000 people across the U.S. with our health insurance outreach and enrollment campaigns over the last two enrollment periods
  • AMHP Blogeducating and engaging in important discussions about diverse health-related topics
  • Mental Health Initiatives: addressing discrimination and alienation among Muslim youth
  • National Directory of Muslim Health Professionals: developing a database searchable by location and professional field to connect our community

These are some of the many reasons why I am a Monthly Donor to AMHP.  I hope you will join me in the Monthly Donor Club and give as little as $25, $50, or $100 a month or make a one-time donation or mail check payable to AMHP to 2118 Plum Grove Road #201, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008. Your tax-deductible donation is greatly appreciated and will help ensure AMHP's future as a longstanding institution.

Arshia Wajid
AMHP President
