Assalamu alaykum,

AMHP has successfully kicked off its fourth open enrollment cycle! For the past three years, AMHP has been at the forefront of connecting Muslims to healthcare coverage. This year, we are expanding our efforts by targeting the broader American public, regardless of religious affiliation. Connecting people to health coverage is at the cornerstone of AMHP’s mission. As a public health professional and strong advocate for high-quality affordable healthcare, I could not be happier to serve as the ACA Program Coordinator.

After the election results, many community members reached out with concerns about their health coverage and the future of the Affordable Care Act. Our team of seven state liaisons responded with hope and encouragement about the future. If anything, the uncertain political climate has strengthened our commitment to work together towards the common goal of connecting people to coverage. From college campuses to food banks to places of worship, our team of liaisons are planning and executing informational and enrollment events in their local communities through Tuesday, January 31st, 2017. It is clear people still want/need affordable, quality coverage for themselves and their families. Visit this link to connect with our liaisons.

As stated by Secretary Sylvia Burwell on November 14th, 2016 “The Affordable Care Act is now woven into the fabric of our Nation. And a strong open enrollment this year will make that even more true.” To access the complete speech from Secretary Burwell, please refer to the link here
Please email me at ijandali@amhp.us if you would like to volunteer, host an event or be a cosponsor of National Interfaith Enrollment Campaign. Thank you all for your support!

Sincerely,

Iman Jandali
ACA Program Coordinator
