I would like to extend a warm welcome to our upcoming Benefit Dinner, which will be held on Saturday, November 14 at the Marriott Fairview Park in Falls Church, VA. We are excited to have US Surgeon General,VADM Vivek Murthy, and Chairman & CEO of Medtronic, Omar Ishrak, as our guest speakers. Internationally recognized healthcare strategist and blogger, Shahid Shah, will engage both speakers in a "fireside chat" and conduct an interactive session with the audience. You will have an opportunity to hear from them and also learn more about AMHPâ€™s programs around advocacy, mental health and disability. We will also be presenting Global Deaf Muslim (GDM) with the 2015 AMHP Community Service Award.
I will be completing my two-year term as President on AMHPâ€™s board at the end of this year. We are seeking qualified and dedicated individuals to take on the role of President, Vice President and Director of Development.
