CELC Webinar: Energy Codes 101

ICC CEUs available

Adoption and effective enforcement of energy code is one of the best ways cities in Texas can encourage efficiency community-wide. SPEER's Energy Code Program Manager will cover the history of codes, the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), and Texas state laws around energy code. Jason will also cover simple ways the code helps improve efficiency and resilience of homes and commercial buildings.

UPDATE: Local Government Energy Reporting

As many of you may be aware, today is the last day of the State fiscal year. In years past this was also the first day to start submitting mandatory Local Government Energy Reporting to the State Energy Conservation Office. The Texas Health and Safety Code §388.005(c) requires political subdivisions in a non-attainment areas or affected counties to establish a goal to reduce electric consumption by at least five percent each state year and report on progress to the State Energy Conservation Office. 

NEW FOR 2020:

The reporting form for 2020 is not yet available. The reporting process is under going some modifications.

2020 reports will not be due until February 1, 2021, and will cover CALENDAR year 2020.
