It's Chinese new year!

Happy new year.

It starts on the second new moon after winter solstice.
The old fashioned Chinese year is based on the lunar calendar, unlike our own, made up one.

It's the year of the water pig, starting today, Feb. 5th 2019.

Here's one I took earlier (9 years ago)

Those born in the following years are Pigs: 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019.
Well, from roughly beginning February to the end of January.

The Chinese Calendar has everything to do with seasonal qigong. Therefore we will start will the liver season qigong exercises very soon.

And... that means I'll be going on about LIVER DETOX for a month!
