Dear friends,
We often receive feedback from our partner agencies and wanted to share the following story.
"So after the mother took the pillows for her three kids, I had realized that we had forgotten to give her pillow cases, too. So we called her and she came back the next day. She took your last pillowcases in stock - funny, there were three kids' ones - two Olaf for her sons and one Minion for her daughter. The mother had mentioned that the five year old boy was so happy with his new pillow that he carried it around all day and wouldn't let anyone touch it because it was new and it was his! She was very appreciative and said thank you very much!"
The smallest item - a new bed pillow and case - brings such happiness. Imagine the feeling a child experiences getting a new bed and all the bedding, too!
This is why we do this - to help the children feel safe, warm, and comfortable. Getting a good night's sleep makes a such a positive impact on their lives. They grow better, do better in school, and are happier in general.
This year we are planning to put many new initiatives in place, starting by setting up different committees of volunteers. Please consider being a volunteer: If you are willing and able to help and have a great time, please sign up through our website for upcoming information and volunteer opportunities. Everyone has a gift to give.
Thank you and sweet dreams,
Doreen

Supporter Spotlight!
Brittany Post is a mother of two children she adopted through foster care. Brittany has made and donated more than 75 fleece baby blankets to BFB.
I always search for the perfect place to donate the items we receive. While I was looking for the right home for the colorful, fluffy blankets Brittany made, a friend of mine introduced me to the Home Space Organization. They support teen mothers who are in the foster care program with their newborns.
The bulk of the Brittany's beautiful blankets were donated to Home Space where they were much appreciated. We look forward to helping Home Space again in the near future. The remainder of the blankets went to families of our partner agencies for the holidays.
Thank you, Brittany, for the warmth and kindness you have provided to so many moms and their babies!

In Memorial
Daniel F. Pordum Jr.
We want to send our condolences to the Pordum and Lederman families, for the passing of Danny Pordum.
Danny was a comedian and manager of a comedy club where we held a few fundraising events. He was extremely kind and helpful to ensure our success.

To express our appreciation and caring for Danny, Beds from Brian gifted “funny” pillows to children this past Christmas to pass on some smiles in his memory. Laughter is the best medicine!
Rest in peace, Danny.
