Your Shocker Career Accelerator Contacts for Co-ops & Internships

The Shocker Career Accelerator helps students gain professional skills and connects students with applied learning and employment opportunities. Mark Bengtson, Mariem Berrada, and Lance Minor are the primary contacts for students seeking employment in co-op, internship, and applied learning opportunities. They also oversee enrollment in co-ops and internships and can field questions regarding student learning objectives and final projects for enrolled co-op and internship students.

Welcoming a New Academic Advisor, Daniela Blair!

The College of Engineering welcomes Daniela Blair to our team! Daniela will be the academic advisor for students in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department, Undecided Engineering majors, and KS community college students seeking dual advising prior to transferring to WSU. During her time as an undergraduate student studying sociology at UC Davis, Daniela served as a Resident Advisor and Senior Resident Advisor, positions that allowed her to discover a passion for helping students make the most of the undergraduate experience. Since 2015, Daniela has served as an undergraduate academic advisor at UC San Diego and more recently at Univ. of Colorado Boulder. In her spare time she enjoys baking, playing board games, spoiling her cat, and hiking.

Daniela's office is located in Wallace Hall 300. She can be contacted at daniela.blair@wichita.edu. Welcome, Daniela!
