Rapid City Travelers prepare to visit Nikko in Fall

Who wouldn't want to go?  The changing colors, the seasonal cuisine, the friendly people...all await the four fortunate Rapid Citians who form the adult autumn trip to Nikko.  Our 9th bi-annual trip will see Travis Bellefeuille, Shawna Hall, Lois Wolfe and Joan Clemens represent our city as they travel to Nikko in mid-October.  They are excited to see such highlights as Toshogu shrine, Kegon water fall, trip to natural hot springs, and a sake brewery tour.  Please wish them a bon voyage!

Help at "Terror in the Dark" and Raise Funds

Did you know that you can volunteer with the Terror in the Dark haunted house and raise funds for the sister city at the same time?  They are in need of "actors" to do the "work" of populating the haunted house, or volunteers to help set up and tear down.  To help out the sister city, just go to the website, click on the volunteer link and fill in the information - be sure to mention that you are working on behalf of the Japan Sister City.  There will be a volunteer meeting on Oct 13th at 10am at a location to be determined, but they will take volunteers anytime.  Have a great time and raise some money for cultural understanding at the same time!
